6 year old daughter with night terrors could use a little help Posted: 14 Apr 2018 08:05 AM PDT Hello denizens of r/art! My daughter is having some trouble with nightmares recently. My wife and I will put her and her brother to sleep, then probably once every other day, she will wake up yelling in tears for her mother or me to come to her side, terrified of whatever it was that slipped into her thoughts while she slumbered. As her father, it's soul wrenching that I can't protect her from this-seeing her in tears, so scared, is physically painful for me, she's just the best little girl. One of the coping mechanisms I have tried (that seems to really help) is telling her a story, with her as the protagonist. So began the continuing adventures of (Daughter's Name), the Warrior Princess. According to DN, she has pink armor with red accents, a turquoise shield with gold handles and a diamond sword with a good handle as well. Her brother, age 8, is of course her ninja sidekick, and in her first adventure she met and befriended a dragon named Becky. Here is my ask, my plea to the interweb-i need a rendition of the above characters, as realistic as possible, showing strength and beauty that my extremely poor artistic skills just can't do. My daughter has a great imagination but I think some visual would help her really be able to focus on the story and get if firmly in her mind before bed, or even more importantly, after a nightmare. If you haven't the time or skill, I understand. But if you can help, you'll be improving the life of (in my completely unbiased opinion) the absolute greatest little girl in the whole world. Link to an image of daughter, son, and mom (the Queen, of course, in our stories-I am DN's squire) to use as a reference, if you are able. Thank you, from the bottom of of my heart, I hope this works. https://imgur.com/gallery/1YZOA submitted by /u/TrueHalfCrack [link] [comments] |
